What’s the hardest decision you’ve ever had to make? Why?

Mine was 4 year’s ago when l had to make the decision to have to put my little puppy Diamond down after 17 years of partnership, love ❤️, friendship, family etc . Diamond had COPD and the sad part about that for a dog it doesn’t get any better. I knew she was at the end and I was prepared to spend my life saving to keep her here for my own selfish gain but the vet told Mr.Cunningham it wouldn’t do any good as I sit here and type this I’m crying I loved that puppy with everything I had keep resting up Diamond doesn’t a day go by Pop doesn’t think about you I love you and you are missed, I have buried a Mother/Father, 4 brothers 1 puppy 🐶 all hurts so bad…🥲🥲🥲🥲

  2. Having recently experienced the loss of my pets, can’t imagine having to actually make that decision myself.
    I’m sure your dog is most grateful for the years with you and appreciates you for that decision.

That was the hardest thing I had to ever do that puppy was like a child to me we did everything together she was part of our family, I couldn’t take her that day my wife took her and called me to tell me the vet’s suggestion. She was so trained that we could let her out to her business and once she was done she would be waiting at the door to come in, that morning she didn’t come back I knew something was wrong because that out of her character when dogs 🐕 know there time is up they don’t want you to see them die and when I let her out that morning it was like she was saying goodbye and thanks for the memories it’s crazy I’m crying as I write this book my apologies…🥲🥲🥲🥲

      1. Sometimes it’s not even because of selfishly wanting them to last long, I can see myself struggling with such a decision too because I’d be wondering whether it’s what the animal will prefer instead of dying a natural death. Whether they will feel like I killed them.
        But ultimately we never want to see those we love suffer and that will be communicated well enough to the animal, they will know the decision is one out of love than anything else.
